Halloween party themes can be as varied as the type
of paranormal and supernatural beings that are discussed around the
world. A Halloween party with 'Witches' alcove' as its party theme,
would need a bubbling witches' cauldron with a long ladle, a tattered
magical book of spells and charms, place near it and opened to some
ghastly black magic spells, some jars with artificial eyeballs, newt's
eye, frog's tongue and other such weird things places as if in the
laboratory, lots of black cats and black hats and brooms for your
witches to travel. The dim humming noise, Plaster of Paris stalactites
and stalagmites, spider's webs all over the venue, would only enhance
the effect.
If you are more organized and don't want much mess, you may choose
vampire as your theme for Halloween party. All you need is a collared
cape and artificial fangs. The venue has to be neat, clean and organized
just like Count Dracula's palace. Gothic architecture and furniture is
the key word here. Tomb-shaped boxes and tableware is what you will need
and cover all the windows with thick shades, for vampires hate sunlight.
Artificial bats are essential props for this party and bloody drinks and
foods are needed. For an alien's Halloween party, you will need disco
lights and decorate you venue like a huge alien ship with fake cardboard
monitors with lights and bulbs. Weird dresses and headdress with
protruding eyeballs will be needed.
Aliens are supposed to love bugs so keep lots and lots of plastic
moving spiders and bugs in view. For this party, you can use all the
trash to create weird shapes just as discarded tyres and iron pipes.
Cleopatra's Halloween party will use Egyptian dresses while men will be
dressed like Roman warriors. It needs lot of royal ostentatious display
with gold and earthy colors as the dominating colors. Animal prints,
artificial snakes and whips make the right props for this king of party
and gold cups with poison-colored drinks and skimpy-dresses slave girls
are for splurging. You can also choose your favorite cartoon character,
monster, fairies or action figures and super heroes as the theme for
your Halloween party but all you need is to observe the kind of décor,
living style and food habits of your chosen figure and try to translate
them into your Halloween party.
